TRAUMA TOUCH THERAPY
Trauma Touch Therapy is designed to slowly and gently reconnect clients with their body after surviving trauma or complex trauma. Trauma Touch Therapy is not psychotherapy, energy work, or massage therapy. Trauma Touch Therapy is a body-based, client-lead, healing experience facilitated over ten sessions. The sessions are rooted in the neurological components of trauma recovery and designed to create a safe container for the client to explore sensations in the body with curiosity, without judgment, and without the need to assign meaning to them. This modality facilitates options for self-regulation, fosters curiosity with the body, develops trust with the body, makes space for sensations and emotions, and creates a container for somatic empowerment and transformation.
Clients that would like to participate in these sessions can expect the following:
A thorough and extensive intake on the first session to determine if the client is a good candidate to participate in Trauma Touch Therapy.
This is a bodywork modality; Trauma Touch Therapists do not diagnose, prescribe, or counsel. This bodywork is especially helpful in supporting those working with a mental health professional and/or other healthcare professionals.
Clients need to be willing to create space for 10 consistent and consecutive sessions; meeting weekly or two times per week. After 10 sessions, tune-up sessions are available if needed.
Ideal clients for this bodywork therapy understand that they are creating and responsible for their own transformation and have good support systems around them through the 10-session process and beyond.
Because this modality requires the client to be fully present for the experience, the client must not engage in substance use prior to attending sessions.
Intake session - $200; Sessions 2-9 - $175 per session. Tune-up sessions are $175 per session.
3-day intensive option is available for clients that have met with a Trauma Touch Therapy Practitioner for consultation and screening and have been determined to be an ideal candidate for intensive somatic therapy. 3-day intensive is $2500; $500 non-refundable deposit required for scheduling.
Consultation required before scheduling. To schedule a consultation, email healinglabsomatics@gmail.com or fill out our CONTACT FORM HERE.
